Overview

GearDrop helps shoppers discover outdoor gear markdowns, compare recent price history, save products, and create price alerts. This policy covers the GearDrop iOS app and the website at geardrop.100app.dev.

Information we store

Information we read

The app reads public product and price-history data from the GearDrop catalog. Product records can include merchant product names, prices, regions, product URLs, and images. The app does not read other users' price-alert subscriptions.

Notifications and purchases

This version uses local notifications for alert testing. Remote push notifications are not enabled. Pro purchases are processed by Apple through in-app purchase and validated by RevenueCat.

Tracking and sharing

GearDrop uses short-lived pseudonymous request fingerprints to rate-limit public forms and prevent abuse. GearDrop does not implement third-party advertising tracking. RevenueCat processes purchase information for app functionality and subscription analytics; it is not used for advertising tracking. If you tap a Buy link, the product page opens in your browser and the merchant may process that visit under its own privacy policy.

Retention and control

Device-local watchlist data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app. RevenueCat retains purchase and entitlement records under its service policies; App Store purchases remain associated with your Apple ID. Price alerts remain stored until they are unsubscribed, expire, or are removed during service maintenance. Support requests remain until they are resolved and removed under service-maintenance procedures. Abuse-prevention fingerprints are automatically pruned by the service.
